Commerce Square
It is one of the most beautiful and impressive squares in Europe, opened to the south by the immense estuary of the Tagus. Historically, merchant ships arrived there, it was the city gate.
One of the busiest places in Lisbon, full of life, entertainment and restaurants, where two points of special interest stand out: the Rua Augusta Arc de Triomphe and the Statue of the Skeleton of Joseph I.
Elevator de Santa Justa
When visiting Lisbon, we suggest you take a look at the city via the Santa Justa lift, an elevator that connects the Baixa Pombalina districts with Chiado. At the top, you will find an iron walkway with 360o views that will not leave you indifferent. The lift is just 250 meters from our accommodation.
Lisbon’s Bairro Alto
This is one of the most iconic and vibrant neighbourhoods in the city, known for its narrow streets and old buildings where you can visit numerous bars and pubs to enjoy a drink in a lively and diverse atmosphere. Additionally, from some points in the neighbourhood, such as the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, you can get stunning panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River.
Alfama neighbourhood
The Alfama neighbourhood combines history, culture, entertainment, and gastronomy, making it a must-visit during your stay in the Portuguese capital. It houses several important historical sites, such as the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), São Jorge Castle, and the National Pantheon. It is also home to the Fado Museum, which explores the history of this musical genre. In terms of gastronomy, the area offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars where you can taste traditional Portuguese cuisine or enjoy a drink in a vibrant setting.
